Loving women and the Earth has been the central grounding power in my life for the last 25 years. The gift of voice and music is a way of expressing my spirituality and what I see as my "work in the world". This is my gift to my community.

All songs on this album are original and express the idea of nature, Mother Earth, as the creative force behind evolution and growth. The concerns that we all feel for the future of our planet is the central theme, and the deep knowledge that women, or the Feminine Divine Principle is the way back to a healthy amd whole existence on this planet.

The love songs are simply that - songs about loving wo,en and also about loving myself. May the words and music inspire and heal you, that you may then pour your energy back into the Earth and our world community.

The tracks on this album are:
Mother Earth
City Beat
Big Country
The Dance
Dreaming
Cornucopia
Wild Child
Jailhouse
Walk Away Blues
Lesbiana
Lover Mine

The music for the whole album was created digitally on computer by David Calaby and vocals recorded at Thunderbolt Studios

Following are two reviews of LOVER MINE which describe the album much better than I ever could.

GROOVE MUSE- PAUL TURNER- CAPITAL Q
Another strong release from an independent artist, LOVER MINE not only showcases a wonderfully warm and gutsy vocalist, but a writer of intelligent and empowering lyrics which cover the gamut of the singer's central grounding power, "loving women and the Earth.

"The music which carries these lyrics home is performed, often surprisingly utilising only keyboards and written by David Calaby, a gay man and Lamerduc's "dear friend and brother of choice".

From this collaboration comes a collection of songs which encompasses a number of musical styles, successfully fusing genre to create a set which is as musically diverse as it is lyrically honest. The title track, a beautiful ode to lesbian love recently won the Queensland recording industry's prestigious BASF Sunnie Award for Best Song and this is no one hit wonder.

The album is filled with equally powerful and beautiful songs which though intense, are buoyed by humour and a love of life.Other highlights from an inspirational 11 track set include the lusty fun of "LESBIANA", the haunting and theatrical "DREAMING" and the world tinged anthem "MOTHER EARTH". LOVER MINE...A MUSICAL MUST!

SONGS OF WOMEN LOVING - KAT COSTIGAN - LOTL
Lesbian entertainer Anique Lamerduc underscored her commitment to "the grounding power in my life - loving women and the Earth" in her new CD LOVER MINE. All original music, the 11 track album combines a variety of music styles including reggae, Latin funk, catchy dance beats and even a dash of country.

At just under an hour of easy listening, Lamerduc thinks the album would suit dinner parties and relaxing moments. But its also a challenging experience so don't get too laid back. Stand out tracks include "Mother Earth" about trying to regenerate the environment and the emotional "Big Country". Lamerduc performed these two songs and the title track at this years National Lesbian Confest in Brisbane to a standing ovation.

The Sydney resident has a been a fixture at many women's and lesbian events over the past ten years including performing at the National Lesbian Confest at the Sydney Opera House and at Melbourne's Festival Hall during the 1990 National Lesbian Confest.

Lamerduc, 47, has been writing and performing lesbian feminist music for 15 years. She is a knock-out live performer and LOVER MINE captures much of this energy. "LESBIANA" is one of the dinkiest cuts from the album, all about sleeping in with your lover rather than getting up and facing mundane daily life. "WALK AWAY BLUES" is a lot more intense, a song about a devastating end to a four year relationship. Lamerduc sees the album as a catharsis to get over this experience.

The album is also a launching pad for her overseas tour. Lamerduc is heading to the United States in May next year (1995) for six months and has already been booked to sing at 5 women's music festivals including the prestigious National Women's Music Fest in Bloomington, and the West Coast Women's Music Festival.

And her long term goal:"To be a vagabond travelling around in a Kombi with a good sound system and using my gift, my voice, to give back to the women's community."
